Cooking beans in a slow cooker
Baked beans are an amazingly yummy dish that far too often are not home cooked. They taste great from a can but taste amazing home cooked and this is where your slow cooker or dutch oven, like a Tramontina dutch oven, comes in very handy.
I am vegetarian so I make mine without the bacon but that isn’t a big problem. This YouTube video from Cooking Dave shows a great recipe.
I like the simplicity of this recipe and Dave seems like a straight up good guy. Basically baked beans are beans baked in sugar and tomatoe sauce but the extra steps that Dave takes really help in the final taste outcome.
Do you have a baked bean recipe to share? Do yo have any other dutch oven recipes to share?
Thanks.

I do this in a plugin slow cooker and leave it running most of the day. Meanwhile, I would prepare the ribs and other side dishes. yumm… Can’t wait ’til summer.
